HealthyMama

On Sunday when Mr.A and I returned from China, we had a short but powerful (:D) talk about getting fit and healthy.  He packaged it nicely but I see his main point=get back your body.
Before,  he would say it so bluntly that I got super defensive about even talking about it,  but I really do need to get my body back.

I thought about setting a concrete weight goal, but that has never worked out, so I am making a goal to fit into my old clothes!
I will come up with a weight mini goal and I suggested to A that if I achieve this by my birthday we can take a mini trip to Taiwan, since he had been itching to go somewhere!
Taipei will be nice since it's only an hour flight and cheap :)

So today for breakfast I had a bowl of chicken mushroom soup, for lunch I had a smoked salmon wrap, and dinner is seafood cream spaghetti with a side of Caesar salad. Not super light for a meal but I did walk 4 hours today with almost 8kg Riri in the carrier!

I have to really restrain myself sometimes (ok all the time) because I looooove junk food and I've no shame in admitting and consuming them. But, since I'm breastfeeding,  I'm sure what I eat affects her even if it's small. I will try to give myself healthy substitutes for snacks and all around food choices.
As for exercise,  right now baby is clingy so I will first try to change my eating habits first then try to incorporate some exercises.

So here's to a healthier lifestyle♥

monday morning & sleep training

Can't say how long this will last, but Riri has been sleeping less these days, usually sleeping around 9:30-10:30pm and up by 9am. Gone are the days we used to sleep until noon!  She wakes up a couple of times during the night,  not because she's hungry but her movements startle her and she is not the baby to fall asleep by herself, so I have to sooth her or give her the boob to let her drift back to sleep.

Hub mentioned sleep training or letting her cry it out but I tried while he was away on business trip last week and I'm sure if he was there he would have given up  faster than me! (I lasted 5 minutes)
I decided to just go with her pace, if she's not ready then I will hug her and let her know I'm there for her, no matter what books say I feel she is so young and crying for 30+ minutes doesn't sound like it would do her any good (& moi).

Stakes

I don't usually put the bebe in the carrier unless I'm headed out, but today I felt like sitting down by the computer and listening to some music, and for the hundredth time decided to blog, just for my pleasure and to document, because baby is growing fast - and by fast I mean super fast. Now it's hard to remember how small she felt in my arms when she first entered this world, and each day she will grow a little bit more and more. I'm a very proud mama already, and B & I are so excited to see what kind of lady she will blossom into. We already expect her to have a bit of attitude, judging by the clear ways she expresses herself...especially annoyance!

currently listening to vancouver sleep clinic, what a name!
